After dinner today I got outside with a strong desire to get the garden bed walls completed.  With Linda’s help I managed to pull it off.  I was running out of daylight fast, but I did take a couple of pictures.

Next we have to fill in the post holes and the gaps beneath the walls that resulted from attempting to level them.  Then we’ll put down some garden fabric and fill them with garden soil.  I guess I better get to work figuring out where to buy the soil.

hi. your garden bed looks great! this is what i want to build for my mom-in-law.

how deep do you bury your posts? do you nail the boards to the post? thanks!

Sorry, Justin. I didn’t see your comment. I had messed up my comment email settings.

These garden beds are still going strong. The posts are not that far into the ground. There is only about six inches if I remember correctly. We have clay soil here so it doesn’t take much. Plus all of the posts work together once the walls are attached.

I used screws to put everything together because they hold better and for longer.
